OUTREACH AT GREENFIELD CARE CENTER

The Bridge and Missions Ministry co-labored together on Sunday, August 22nd for an outreach to GreenField Care Center in Gardena.
It was an awesome time to visit the patients and encourage the staff at the Care Center.  We know that it's just good to do something for someone other than yourself.
Our heart was to convey the love of Christ to each individual at the Care Center. We did this by giving gifts and hugs, sharing scriptures and praying for them, and by giving manicures (just to clarify, the ladies did the manicures). We ended our afternoon with our new friends with a drama and worship songs.

One of the blessings of serving others is that you walk away being more blessed than those that you're serving.

AUDIENCE OF ONE

Audience of One (August 13) is a night for those in the Bridge to share the gifts God has given them, whether it be music, poetry or humor, the goal is to glorify God.  In our world today so many artists and musicians perform in order to receive the acollades of men and the applause of the audience.  Audienc of one was created to give praise and worship for our Audience of "ONE".

HARVEST CRUSADE 2010

The Bridge attended the Harvest Crusade on Friday, August 6th. It was an awesome time to bring our unsaved friends to get a taste of Christian music from the Katinas and David Crowder, but more importantly to hear a clear presentation of the Gospel from Pastor Greg Laurie.
As you can tell, we had the privilege of sitting in the "nosebleed" section.  It actually wasn't too bad, we still had a good view of the stage, not to mention the huge monitors helped us to see what was happening on the stage.

It is always still amazing to see so many come down and receive or rededicate their life to Christ.  We had the privilege of seeing 2 individuals from the group go down and make a profession of faith.  "Our God Saves!"

SUMMER TEA TIME

Summer Tea Time:  The ladies at the Bridge celebrated the summer with a Saturday afternoon Tea Time.  The theme of the event was "Just Give Me Jesus."

Here's the ladies just being themselves.

CATORCE DE MAYO FIESTA

Here's the Bridge at the Catorce de Mayo Fiesta (May 14th).  As usual, the Bridge never shys away from a "photo opportunity."  It was a great "fiesta", just in case for all our non-Spanish speaking friends, "Fiesta" means celebration or party.  Take a look at the pics and see the celebration.
As you can tell, almost everyone came in their "fiesta" gear.

Nothing better than worshipping the Lord under the stars of the South Bay!
