UPCOMING EVENTS!

Hi Friends~ Here are the next events to keep in mind and mark on your schedules!

TOMORROW, FRIDAY JUNE 28th: Friday night meeting 
"The Gifts of the HOLY SPIRIT" along with 4th Friday Fellowship. Please bring a dish to share with everyone! The theme for food is: American, so bring some burgers, fries, chicken wings, mac n' cheese, sandwiches, ribs, etc. I'm not really sure if those are all American dishes, but hey - sounds yummy!

NEXT WEDNESDAY, JULY 3rd: Main Service & Communion 
The Bridge will sit together on the center left {facing the stage} during mid-week service. The service begins at 7:30pm and ends at 9pm.

NEXT THURSDAY, JULY 4TH: Free day, enjoy time with family and friends!

NEXT FRIDAY, JULY 5TH: Summer Palooza Kick Off Old School Style!
In place of a indoor Friday night meeting, we will be turning the Hamilton Parking Lot at church into a Summer party! Come at 6pm and we'll have a BBQ for dinner. Please bring a dish to share as it will be a POTLUCK too. Then we'll play games, have a few activities, worship God and hear a short message from His Word. It's a perfect opportunity to bring a friend out.

Welcom to Summer Discipleship!

We had a very nice night for our first Summer Discipleship meeting! The gals and guys came out to hang out and encourage one another with God's Word. Jared gave a very nice summary on last semester's study of 2 Thessalonians and the work and gifts of the Holy Spirit in our lives. He encouraged everyone to fully commit to coming out and T encouraged folks to "raise the bar" as well as "go deeper in their relationship with Jesus".

Discipleship Kicks Off Tonight {6/26}!

Small groups start tonight! Have you ever wanted to be part of a small group of men or women that study God's Word and pray for one another? Tonight we are starting a new semester of Discipleship groups.

The guys group is called: Dude's Discipleship
The ladies group is called: Daughter's of the King

... We meet at 7pm in the Children's wing at CCSB in classroom 3A. Each week we have a potluck so everyone can share food and hang out before and after our meeting. We have a time of worship with songs and then split into different rooms (guys in one room, ladies in the next room) and share what God is showing us in groups of 3, 4 or 5.

We meet every other Wednesday night. This next couple of months we will be going over the Foundations of our Faith. Come out tonight for our introduction meeting. The meeting usually goes from 7pm-9:30pm! See you there and bring a friend :)

Works of the Holy Spirit

We had a fantastic Friday night meeting! The worship team helped us usher in the presence of the Holy Spirit and we studied about the work that the Holy Spirit does in our lives. 

Anthony, aka "T" shared with us the work of the Holy Spirit in Salvation and in our daily lives as believers. It was an encouraging and powerful message. We are so thankful that the Holy Spirit indwells in us and guides us each day. 






Think of a dish to bring and a friend to invite out! We will have a chill night of kickn' it in the parking lot. We will play some old-school games, worship our God and pray for one another. We'll feast on some Sanches BBQ and the yummy dishes everyone will bring. It's gonna be a fantastic summer kick off!

The Bridge Friday Night!

Friday night we had a fantastic study by Leo, on the Presence of the Holy Spirit. The Lord used him to encourage us about knowing the presence of the Holy Spirit through conviction, and the transformation in our lives. He reminded us that we are the Lord's paintbrushes, as He is the Master Artist. Our goal is to be used for God's purposes to point people to Jesus Christ. Can I get an Amen?!

We're sending off the team to Costa Rica on Wed night! Please keep Pastor Dennis, Queena, Summer and the team in your prayers. Have a blessed week!

Friday Night June 14th: The Presence of the Holy Spirit

John 14:6 "But the Helper, the HOLY SPIRIT, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you"
 
Join us tonight for our Friday night study @ 7:30pm in the Jr. High room! We will have a guest speaker sharing on: The Presence of The HOLY SPIRIT
 
Who is the HOLY SPIRIT? Is He a force or a feeling? Is He like a ghost? Whether you know the answers to these questions, or would like to know, we will be discussing the Holy Spirit and starting a series on finding out WHO the Holy Spirit is and how He works in our lives.

***Tomorrow Saturday, June 15th there is a Harbor City Homeless Outreach! Meet at 11:30am in the Prayer room at church. We will join "Word on the Streets" ministry as they share the Gospel at a local homeless community. Please wear your Got Jesus? t-shirt {any color}***
 
 

Discipleship Dinner!

Thank you to Mercedes, Xu and Erica for coordinating a lovely dinner for the Discipleship small groups! We had a celebration dinner of God's faithfulness. The dinner featured homemade pastas, salads and yummy garlic bread. The ladies aka "Daughter's of the King" served the food to our brothers in Christ. We also had a time of worship and reflection on how the semester impacted us and what the Lord showed us through the study of 2nd Thessalonians. We ended the night with cake and an encouragement to continue small groups starting again in two weeks {Wed, June 26th!}

Dudes & Daughters Discipleship Dinner

If you've been a part of Dude's Discipleship or Daughter's of the King Discipleship (small groups) this past January - June, please join us for a special dinner on Wed night. We will be celebrating God's faithfulness as He has carried us through a busy semester. We studied His Word, shared our hearts, prayed for one another and grew closer as brothers and sisters in the Lord.

The dinner is this Wednesday, June 12th at 7pm. Check your email for the dinner location/dress code/details. Have a blessed week!
