Can You Dig?

We had an outstanding night on Friday!

Pastor Dennis shared a Bible story from 2   Kings 3:1-27!

The theme of the night was VICTORY! And we leaned how God brought His people through a battle and into victory. The people learned about obedience and dependency on God. From the story we leaned that God asks things of us that we don't always understand, but that He knows we are capable of performing. The example is "digging a valley full of holes". Digging the holes provided the people water to drink and victory in the battle. Read the story to see what God did!

See you next week for the Go workshop!

Upcoming Event: GO WORKSHOP!

Friday Night Live: Diggin' it!

Join us tonight at 7:30pm in the Jr. High room as we gather for an intimate moment of worship, interactive Bible study in God's Word and encouraging time of fellowship!

Tonight we'll study 2 Kings 3 and looking at the importance of obeying God in all areas of our life so that we would have victory!! If you find yourself in various battles in your week, come be challenged through God's Word and discover practical ways to move forward in your FAITH. Remember and be encouraged, that you're not alone in this battle.

We also have a time of PRAYER at 6:30pm tonight in the Kid's Welcome Center. Come out, because there is power in prayer! Not because of our words, but because of the ONE we pray to!

Discipleship 10/16!

Join us Wednesday night for discipleship small groups! We meet at 7pm in classroom 3A for a POTLUCK (bring any dish to share), a time of worship songs, and then we split into guys/girls groups.

We are going through the "New Life Ministry" workbook, to cover Bible basics. Please do chapter 9 for you homework. We will also be reviewing the past memory verses, so study up!

If this is your first time coming out, don't worry about any homework, just come and be blessed!

"Looking unto JESUS the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of GOD" Heb 12:2

Friday night recap!

Get rid of the old “yeast” by removing this wicked person from among you. Then you will be like a fresh batch of dough made without yeast, which is what you really are. Christ, our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed for us. So let us celebrate the festival, not with the old bread of wickedness and evil, but with the new bread of sincerity and truth. (1 Corinthians 5:7, 8 NLT)

Jose Sanchez gave a good Word from The Lord last night on this above passage. We were encouraged to get right with God or else we could easily infect and disrupt the body of Christ. He identified people who may have false motives within the church and their consequences, and how to deal with them. Mostly, his heart was to share the commandment from God to love people and be wise with our judgment of sin. What an uplifting and blessed night.

We're keeping those in prayer who are attending the backyard missions trip this weekend. They are in the South Bay communities sharing about Jesus. The team includes Pastor Dennis, Bridge leadership and friends and the Jr. high ministry as well. Tonight (sat) they will be at Santa Monica 3rd Street Promenade sharing about Jesus!

Friday Night: October 11th

Come out Friday night as we have a message from the Bible, musical worship and a time of prayer. We will have a special guest speaker share God's Word! We meet at 7:30pm in the Jr. High Room.

We will have a missions team going into our very own "Backyard" and doing ministry in the South Bay. They will be in the local community from Friday night - Sunday afternoon sharing about JESUS. Let's keep them in prayer and they will share the GOOD NEWS of JESUS CHRIST with those who need to hear.
