"And she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” All of this occurred to fulfill the Lord’s message through his prophet: "Look! The virgin will conceive a child!  She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us.’”   Matthew 1:21-23

Discipleship Dinner Recap

On Wednesday, December 18, 2013 the Bridge discipleship group met at Kala Eatery for a time of fellowship and to celebrate what God had done throughout this season of discipleship.  We had some delicious food and some of the leaders shared what God taught them throughout this semester.

Dude's Discipleship
Daughters of the King!

The staff was so sweet and accomodating...we took over the whole restuarant. :)
God even provided a divine appointment while we were there to share the gospel with our server (pictured toward the center of our group below). It was a reminder that the "basic truths" we learned during this season of discipleship must be embedded into our hearts so that we can share them with others!

Lord, you are so good!

"Be diligent to present yourself approved to God a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."  2 Timothy 2:15

Christmas Light Outreach

On Friday Night we headed out to "Candy Cane Lane" in South Torrance to sing Christmas Carols and share the gospel through the songs, skits & tracts.  Christmas is an awesome time to tell others about the Good News of Jesus' birth and what He has done for us on the Cross!   Praise God because his truth went out!  Please continue to pray for those who may have seen the dramas and received the tracts and have yet to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

"For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given;
and the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end..."
Isaiah 9:6-7

Friday Night: Worship!

Pastor Dennis shared with us an encouragement about WORSHIP on Friday night!

We were encouraged to live out our lives in WORSHIP to God, which can look different for each individual and come in many forms. We may worship with music, instruments, our time, our attitudes, our hearts, our decisions, our relationships and our response directly to HIM.

After the message and time of musical worship, we sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Pastor D! Then we had a delicious chocolate tres leches flan cake!
