FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE:TRANSFORMED: From the Inside Out… Friday,  June 27^th@ 7:30pm in the Jr. High Room

·        We all know that once we become a believer, God takes control of our lives and begins to change us from the inside out. 

·        God’s plan is to help us kick our “bad” habits, remove our stubborn attitudes and delete our worldly thinking.

·        But often times there are constant challenges from the outside that prevent us from these internal changes and we realize that it starts with us.

 

Come out and be encouraged on how to live a “Transformed”  life in Christ as we continue this Bible Study Series, this week we’ll be sharing about “Being Transformed in His Presence” Ephesians 4:20-24.

FOURTH FRIDAY FELLOWSHIP- Immediately following the study, we will also be having our 4th Friday Fellowship.  We’ll have a fun time fellowshipping and eating together as the Bridge. It will give you an opportunity to hang out with your brothers and sisters from the Bridge. 

·        Our potluck theme will be“Soul Food”, so bring your favorite “soul food” dish, pick up some fried chicken, mac & cheese, fried okra; let us know what you’ll be bringing, so we all don’t bring corn bread.

BRIDGE DISCIPLESHIP –PAUSE…Wednesday, July 2^nd@ 7pm

·         DUDE’S DISCIPLESHIP & DAUGHTER’S OF THE KING will be joining Pastor Kevin and the worship team for a “sweet” time of worship and prayer in the Main Sanctuary.

SUMMER KICKOFF BONFIRE- Saturday, June 21^st @ 6pm

·        Come out and start off of the Bridge Summer events with a bonfire.  We’ll be hanging out, worshipping and making “smores” on Saturday, June 21^st at 6pm at Dockweiler Beach in Playa del Rey.  Sign up on Friday night, to let us know if you’ll be attending.

Friday Night Bridge Recap

This past Friday at the Bridge we kicked off the first night in our new series "Transformed"- from the inside out.  We took a look at Romans 12:1-2, which says, 

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.  And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

We learned about what it means to be a living sacrifice, humble and poured out before the Lord.  It is not any kind of sacrifice but a worthy offering, holy & acceptable before God.  

May we mediate on this verse today and may God reveal to us the way we are living now and if there are areas we need to change.  May we be not merely hearers of the Word but doers of it!  (James 1:22)

"For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." 1 Corinthians 6:20

Summer Kickoff Bonfire!

Join the guys and girls small groups tonight at 7pm! We will be meeting to have a potluck, a time of worship and hanging out. We will also discuss God's Word with one another. See you tonight in classroom 3A.
