Fancy dinner: The Kettle, Manhattan Beach

To celebrate a wonderful few months of discipleship small groups, we had a fabulous dinner at The Kettle. We donned our best dresses and ties and fellowshipped over fried zucchini, pasta, salad and bread pudding.

Each guy/gal leader shared a scripture from 2 Timothy as an encouragement. One key verse Pastor D shared was chapter 1:9 "For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus"!

Amen!

We left feeling exhorted to fight the good fight and finish the race in faith- pursuing Jesus with all we have. Xu encouraged the group with the example of Naomi and Ruth who returned to the land for bread- as we should always return to God. When we do, it will cause others to cling to Him as well.

It was truly a blessed night! There is something special and dynamic that happens when you consistently meet with people your age to study God's word, pray for one another and share the victories and trials of life together. God is good.

We are still having summer Bridge activities and outreach opportunities, so don't miss out. Check the June schedule posted on the blog and come out Friday nights at 7:30pm to find out more ways to be involved. Let's keep praying for one another and lifting each other up and towards Jesus.
