"Walk His Way"

Friday 01/09/2014

Philippians 2:1-5 (NKJV)
Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, 2 fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. 4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. 5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,

Friday night was the beginning of a series called “Walk His Way”. We were challenge to practice and know that our daily walk as a Christian matters! Our walk here on earth represents the one who designed us. By walking and following in Jesus’ footsteps we are called to have a mind like Christ. The way we think and the choices we make daily come to affect who we are and who we will become. With our experiences and perceptions that we adopt at an early age we can develop worldly or godly convictions; and our convictions should truly come from God. Ultimately we learned that God cannot change the way we think but he can change our HEARTS; so how can we change our MIND?

1. Realize our state of mind- we are sinners and all fall short of the glory of God
2. Repent and change our mind
3. Refresh and renew our mind.

Let us make a decision today to be like Christ, focus our minds on Him and the Word and we will make those godly decisions in life.

We ended our night of service with praying over two wonderful leaders (Jose and Maria Sanchez) who have been part of the Bridge for some time; but will be moving on to new endeavors. It will be a new season for them, and we are excited to see how God will be manifested in their lives.
See you all next Friday!!!:)
