"God doesn't want to take something FROM you, He has something FOR you."
1. Watch what you watch : We must be pure if we are to be powerful in Christ. To do this we must watch what we consume, especially in this media crazed generation.
2. Pack heat for battle : Have the Word of God ever on your lips. The Bible will keep you from sin, and sin will keep you from the Bible. Be soaking in it daily.
3. Be a snake bird : Matthew 10:16 says, "I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves." We are to have the sharp mind of a snake but the gentleness of a dove and be a snakebird! Pray for what only God can do, but do everything you can do.
4. Hold out for honor : Purity is worth fighting for. It takes strength to rise up in honor.
5. Get back up : God is a god of restoration and healing. Arise and run to Jesus. You are not defined by your failures, you are defined by His forgiveness.
6. When all else fails- run!: 2 Timothy 2: 22 says "now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart." There are times when you must run to escape temptation.
7. Purpose in your heart : Dont give up what you want most for what you want now. Purity is the path to our greatest pleasure + power!
