FIRST Friday of the year WOOHOO! Last Friday we kicked off the Bridge with the start of our new series called "Pump Up the Volume." We had a sweet time of worship and a great message by PD in 1 Peter 2:9-10.
"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy."
We were reminded and refreshed that "God created us in His own image" (Genesis 2:27) and that as believers we are not called to fit into this world but rather be AMPLIFYING (hence the kazoo's) our Savior, Jesus christ in our lives. We ended the night with food, fellowship, and some major jamming out with the kazoo.
