Friday night was a really special time. Pastor Dennis shared a message about being HOLY, to reflect a HOLY God. He encouraged us to not only rise up, but to shine as a light for Christ.
To be holy is to be set apart and to be sanctified is the process of being made pure for God's use. The scripture in 1 Peter 2:9 calls us "a holy nation" and we can put that into practice on a personal level by stopping the pollution we intake and instead, taking in the Word of God.

We also had a yummy potluck. Thanks to everyone who brought a tasty dish. We sang Happy Birthday to Cinthia's brother Erick who turned 12 and sugar coma'd our night away with cake.
