Tomorrow night at the Bridge!

FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE:  THE CALLING … Friday,  February 28th @ 7:30pm in the Jr. High Room

Do you have a desire to discover what you were created to do in this life?  In Daniel 11:32 it says “ but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.”

So it comes down to knowing your great God and doing great things for Him.  Join us as we continue our series entitled “The Calling”.

·        Join us this Friday night as we look at part 2 of the ”Character” of the believer “On Mission”.

FOURTH FRIDAY FELLOWSHIP- (Yum!!)

Immediately following the study, we will also be having our 4th Friday Fellowship.  We’ll have a fun time fellowshipping and eating together as the Bridge. It will give you an opportunity to hang out with your brothers and sisters from the Bridge.

·        Our potluck theme will be Asian, so bring your favorite “Asian” dish, pick up eggrolls, fried rice or sweet & sour pork; let us know what you’ll be bringing, so we all don’t bring “fortune cookies”!

Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Philippians 3:12

Friday Night Recap (last week)

On Friday Nights at the Bridge, we've been going through a series called, "The Calling", to help us as followers of Jesus Christ to find out "What does God want for my life?".
Over the past few weeks we've looked at "The Calling"- (Isaiah 6), "The Command" (Matthew 28:16-20), "The Cause" (Luke 19:10),  "The Choice" (Joshua 24:13-15)  & "The Challenge" (Luke 9:23)

This week we looked at "The CHARACTER of the Believer" (Philippians 2).
Pastor D, gave us the acronym "SHO"
Servant   Humility  Obedience
which reminds us the Character of Jesus himself when he came to this Earth.

Jose, one of the Bridge Leaders, sharing a word of encouragement.

At the end of the message, Pastor D, encouraged us to write down an area of our character that we desire for God to work in...or an area that He is showing us we need work in!  We had the opportunity to pray for one another & will continue to be praying for these requests!

"Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men, And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself & became obedient to the pint of death, even the death of the cross..."
(Philippians 2:5-8)

Do you ever find yourself aimlessly wandering throughout your days trying to figure out what you’re supposed to do with the rest of your life?  Everyone has an opinion about how your life should look like, but the most important thing for us as believers is what does God think?  And the better question is “What does God want for my life?”.  We are continuing our series entitled “The Calling”, which will help us discover our real purpose in this life as see God’s perfect plan for our lives.  It will be a time of intimate worship, interactive study in God’s word and fellowship
·        Join us Friday night (tomorrow) as we look at the ”Character” of the believer, and how our life should be affected while “ON MISSION” in this life.
·        Most of the time, it’s not so much getting to our goal, but rather God changing us and preparing our “Character” to be ready for that goal.
·        Come and be challenged to accept the issues and concerns in life as God’s way of building Godly character in you.

Also check out some pictures from our Friday night meeting a few weeks ago where we learned about The CHALLENGE...

Friday Night Recap

This past Friday night at the Bridge we learned about the "Choice of Christ".  We looked at Joshua 24:13-16 and the choice that Joshua made to Serve the Lord, even if no one else did.
What choice will we make today?
It was a refreshing and intimate time with the Lord-- we worshiped and took communion to remember the choice Jesus made to go to the cross & suffer for us.  Through his choice, we can be set free!

“Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”  Joshua 24:12-15
